MacSec Labs is organized as a secured training library. Each course has its own syllabus, reader, lab artifacts, progress tracking, and completion certificate.

Browser-based Mac lab access is currently available for macOS Red Team Tradecraft. Labs for the other courses are being added in the coming weeks.

Practical certification exams

Practical certification exams are coming for each track.

Each MacSec Labs course track is being designed with a practical 8-hour hands-on exam. Researchers who successfully clear the exam will be awarded the corresponding MacSec Labs practical certification for that track.

Red Team Tradecraft

The Red Team Tradecraft practical exam launches in September 2026 and is eligible for both existing and newly registered users.

MSL-MTO

MSL-MTO is the MacSec Labs macOS Tradecraft Operator certification track, built around an operator-style practical assessment.

After MSL-MTO, practical exams for the remaining MacSec Labs tracks will launch in the following months as each exam environment is finalized.

Completion certificate

Earn a MacSec Labs certificate when you complete the course.

Researchers who complete every module in an enrolled course can generate a printable certificate from their dashboard. The certificate uses the name saved in the authenticated profile page.
