Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: June 24, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy explains how MacSec Labs may be used. It is part of the Terms of Use. Violating this Policy may result in suspension or permanent termination of access.
1. Authorized use only
The Platform teaches macOS security research concepts for lawful education, defensive research, and authorized testing. You may apply the material only against systems you own, lab systems you control, or targets where you have explicit written authorization.
2. Prohibited use
You may not use the Platform or its material to:
- Attack, access, disrupt, or collect data from systems without authorization.
- Facilitate malware deployment, unauthorized persistence, credential theft, fraud, extortion, or other unlawful activity.
- Exceed the scope of a lab, client engagement, bug bounty program, or internal authorization.
- Assist another person in misusing the material or bypassing these restrictions.
3. Platform abuse
You may not attack, misuse, or interfere with the Platform itself.
- No probing, scanning, brute forcing, credential stuffing, exploitation, denial of service, or access-control bypass against the Platform.
- No bots, crawlers, scripts, headless browsers, or automated systems used to copy, index, download, or harvest Platform content.
- No account sharing, resale, transfer, credential lending, or use of one account by multiple people.
- No fake identities, stolen payment methods, bad-faith chargebacks, or attempts to regain access after termination.
4. Content protection
Course content, lab files, source code, screenshots, and downloads may not be copied, mirrored, republished, resold, or fed into public or private datasets, scraping systems, or machine-learning training pipelines. Platform content may be watermarked or fingerprinted to investigate unauthorized distribution.
5. Monitoring and enforcement
We may log and analyze usage to protect the Platform, detect scraping, enforce account limits, prevent abuse, and investigate violations. We may use rate limits, device and session signals, entitlement checks, and other technical controls.
6. Reporting misuse
